King Charles visits Pharos AI project

Barts Life Sciences welcome the visit of His Majesty The King to the Innovation Hub at Guy’s Cancer Centre, where we and partners are advancing cancer research through collaboration.

At the Hub, scientists are working across disciplines, from data science to genomics, to integrate cutting-edge research directly into patient pathways, enabling more precise and tailored treatment.

Central to this is PharosAI – a platform accelerating AI-driven discovery in cancer care. Barts Life Sciences contributes expertise in AI development and the use of real-world NHS data through the Barts Health Data Platform – one of the UK’s largest and most diverse Secure Data Environments. This enables us to unlock valuable insights from NHS data, informing next-generation models that improve diagnosis, enable drug discovery and support more personalised patient care.

The visit marked a significant moment in demonstrating how collaboration between the NHS, academia and industry is accelerating innovation in cancer care by translating scientific discovery into real-world impact, improving outcomes for patients across London, the UK and beyond.
